Many ask: Why not just use OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox? The answer is simple – control, transparency, and performance.
A dedicated storage server is a physical machine – not a shared cloud service. You know exactly where your data is stored, as all systems from webtropia.com run exclusively in our own data centres in Düsseldorf. Unlike public clouds, where data is often distributed globally and its location difficult to track, with us you retain full visibility at all times.
You also get full root access to your server – including all resources. No shared hardware, no hidden limitations. This means you benefit from maximum flexibility, total control, and transparent costs – ideal for demanding projects and data-sensitive applications.
Every dedicated storage server at webtropia.com comes with a 1,000 Mbit flat-rate connection – ensuring a fast, stable, and secure connection. This includes 300 Mbit of guaranteed bandwidth, so your data is always reliably accessible.
If you require multiple IP addresses, you can flexibly add your own subnet at any time – ideal for complex network infrastructures or special routing requirements.
Our dedicated storage servers offer you maximum flexibility when it comes to choosing your operating system – just as you’d expect from webtropia.com.
When placing your order, choose from a wide range of trusted systems: Windows Server versions, popular Linux distributions like Debian, Ubuntu or openSUSE, as well as the powerful Proxmox (included for free). Optionally, you can add Plesk or cPanel – ideal for web hosting or administration tasks.
Want to install your own operating system? No problem – we’re happy to provide temporary KVM access so you can set up your custom environment as flexibly as needed.
